Conversely, Woodland Creek owns and operates three of its own factories where designs are exclusively made for and sold through Woodland Creek’s retail stores and ecommerce web sites. This is the primary reason these stores all look the same and sell the same furniture styles. Most retail stores purchase furniture from wholesale sources and make their income on the margins they realize. Woodland Creek is anything but "mainstream" within the furniture industry. It's rewarding to see how barnwood furniture has become mainstream and appreciated for its aesthetic beauty and historical significance. It was twenty years ago, we started promoting the unique character and attributes of barnwood furniture as a talking point in cabins, lodges or rustic-themed home decor.
Woodland Creek was one of the first companies to introduce barnwood furniture - furniture made from reclaimed wood and utilized in refined rustic furniture designs. We have been showing and promoting these combinations for many years. Just a few years ago, you would never have seen rustic furniture mixed with modern furniture. Woodland Creek has pushed the boundaries of design orthodoxy by showing how our clients can mix rustic furniture, modern furniture, and organic wood, copper, steel & stone furniture tastefully creating new and fresh décor styles.
